The 14,500 square-foot colonial manor estate designed by renowned architect Bob Zampolin at 10 Farmstead Road in Mahwah sold for $6.1 million, making it the most expensive home sold this year in Mahwah.
Grace Ziarko of Christie’s International Real Estate Group represented the buyer.
"The transaction now stands as the highest-priced sale in Mahwah YTD, as per NJMLS, marking a milestone for Christie’s, as well as the larger New Jersey real estate market," Christie's said in a news release.
The estate at 10 Farmstead Road features seven bedrooms and ten bathrooms and breathtaking views of the Ramapo Mountains. The home boasts impressive amenities, including a grand, hand-painted domed foyer and double staircase, a billiards room, a music room, a gourmet chef’s kitchen with stained glass ceilings, and formal living room and dining rooms.
The expansive outdoor space features an Olympic-sized swimming pool, an outdoor kitchen, and botanical garden landscaping.
Ziarko has been the number one agent in all of Franklin Lakes for residential sales since 2017, as per NJMLS, and is a member of the Master’s Circle — an elite group of high-performing luxury real estate specialists from across the Christie's global network.
She attributes her success to a combination of Christie’s powerful brand and an unwavering commitment to her clients.
“I’m incredibly proud to have led the sale of this unique property. When you combine a strong brand with dedication and personalized customer service, success follows. It's always rewarding to help my clients find their dream homes,” says Ziarko, a Bergen County resident for over 30 years with more than 25 years of experience in real estate.
Dennis McCormack of Prominent Properties Sotheby's International Realty-Alpine was the listing agent for the property.
